Black wire rope in 1mm - 8mm thickness, thimble/loop

Our black steel ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope class7x7 and 7x19, which means 7 strands with 7or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at one end with a black DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. At the other end, the steel rope is crimped with an eyelet according to DIN specifications and have the loop size of the rope diameter factor 15.

High safety standard: The working load of the steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load and is grouted according to DIN-EN 12385-4. From a rope diameter of 8mm a marking, according to the mentioned DIN, takes place on the crimping clamp. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. During several test trials, the following minimum breaking forces of the stainless steel ropes could be determined:

• 1mm: 77kg
• 1.5mm: 145kg
• 2mm: 259kg
• 3mm: 588kg
• 4mm: 1.045kg
• 5mm: 1.633kg
• 6mm: 2.603kg
• 8mm: 4.180kg

Attention. When specifying the minimum breaking load, no safety factor is taken into account. The working load of the steel ropes is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. You can find the detailed test reports under "Test reports" on the article page.

Tested quality: We use only high quality industrial steel for our black wire ropes. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. A works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued for their application.

Versatile applications: Steel wire ropes can be used as sling ropes for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads in the trades, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding sectors, among others. Due to their high payload, steel ropes are often used for heavy loads.

Various extension options: The product can, of course, be tensioned with suitable turnbuckles and fastened with snap hooks, shackles or quick links.
