Stainless steel rope in 1-10mm thickness with stainless steel ferrule, thimble/loop

Our saltwater resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with V4A stainless steel crimping clamps, at one end with a loop and at one end with a rope thimble.

High safety standard: The working load of the stainless steel wire rope is specified with a 5 times safety factor to the minimum breaking force and is crimped according to DIN-EN 12385-4.

Tested quality: For our stainless steel wire ropes with stainless steel swage clamps, we use only high quality V4A AISI 316 stainless steel, which allows the wire ropes to be exposed to harsh weather conditions for a long period of time. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. During several test trials, the following minimum breaking loads of stainless steel wire ropes could be determined:

  • 1mm: 62kg
  • 1,5mm: 139kg
  • 2mm: 248kg
  • 3mm: 521kg
  • 4mm: 926kg
  • 5mm: 1.448kg
  • 6mm: 2.085kg
  • 8mm: 3.707kg
  • 10mm: 5.793kg

Attention. When specifying the minimum breaking load, no safety factor is taken into account. The working load of the stainless steel ropes is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. You can find the detailed test reports under "Test reports" on the article page.

Versatile uses: The stainless steel wire ropes are used for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads, among other things, in the craft or private sector indoors and outdoors. In addition, they are further used as a decorative element in the garden or shop window area.
