What distinguishes threaded terminals for self-assembly?
Our stainless steel terminals have been specially developed for self-assembly as an alternative to our stainless steel cables with firmly pressed threaded roller terminals.
For some applications it is not possible to plan in advance how long the tensioning cable must be. It is also possible that the exact dimensions will only be determined during assembly. For this application, wire rope terminals with grub screws were developed.
How are the wire rope terminals with grub screws attached?
The terminals can be quickly and securely attached to the wire rope with the help of an M6 Allen key, using the three grub screws. The grub screws are set in opposite directions to create an optimal clamping. There is no need for crimping, as is the case with roller terminals.
For which applications are the terminals suitable?

The threaded terminals for self-assembly are suitable for lighter tensioning and must not be used for safety-relevant applications. The threaded terminals can be used for stainless steel wire ropes of all constructions for 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm & 6mm thickness. The terminals are available in quantities as low as 1x to cater for even the smallest applications.
