Stainless steel rope in 2-6mm thickness with an eye terminal

Our saltwater resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 1x19, 7x7 and 7x19, these are 1 or 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. Stainless steel ropes with the 1x19 construction are considered "stiff" and less flexible due to the small number of individual wires. The 7x7 and 7x19 constructions, on the other hand, offer high flexibility due to the high number of individual wires. The steel rope is crimped at one end with a stainless steel eye terminal in order to be able to attach it to suitable anchor points. The diameter of the eyelet is characterized by being suitable for metric M5 - M10 screws. At the other end, the stainless steel cable is cut cleanly so that a separate terminal connection of individual length can be attached. With the help of wire rope clamps, rope terminals or eye terminals, such an end connection can be made on site, for example with hydraulic crimping pliers.

High safety standard: The working load of the stainless steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load.

Tested quality: For our stainless steel wire ropes with small eye terminals, we use only high quality V4A AISI 316 stainless steel, which allows the wire ropes to be exposed to harsh weather conditions for a long period of time. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. During several test trials, the following minimum breaking forces of the stainless steel ropes could be determined:

• 2mm: 285kg
• 3mm: 468kg
• 4mm: 611kg
• 5mm: 489kg
• 6mm: 774kg

Attention. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the minimum breaking load, the working load of the stainless steel ropes is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. You can find the detailed test reports under "Test reports" on the article page.
