PVC coated wire rope in 3mm - 12mm thickness, thimble with turnbuckle DIN 1480 hook/eye

Our galvanized and PVC coated wire ropes are classified as 6x7 and 6x19, which are 6 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. In addition, the sheathed steel cable is captively swaged with a DIN 1480 turnbuckle with hook and metric M6, M8, M10, M12, M14 or M16 thread.

Tested quality: We use only high-quality industrial steel for our sheathed tensioning ropes. The installed DIN 1480 turnbuckles with hook and eye can, due to the hook element and the associated low breaking strength, only be used for light tensioning and suspension. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of the turnbuckles could be determined:

• M6: 204kg
• M8: 561kg
• M10: 815kg
• M12: 1,020kg
• M14: 1,020kg
• M16: 1.223kg

Attention. The payload of the turnbuckles is given with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page. If you need turnbuckles with higher payloads for your application, please choose a turnbuckle with eyes or use a high strength turnbuckle with forks.

Versatile uses: The tension ropes are made according to their individual desired dimensions within 1-2 working days and can be used for tensioning between suitable anchor points.The wire ropes are used for tensioning, hanging and unhanging suitable loads, such as banners, tarpaulins, power lines or fairy lights. The turnbuckle can be used to tighten the steel cable, adjust the length and regulate the elastic effect.

Various extension options: The rope for tensioning can of course be attached with suitable snap hooks, shackles or quick links or tensioned with another turnbuckle.
