Product information "Stainless Steel Wire with Turnbuckle DIN 1480 Hook / Eye"

Stainless steel rope in 3-10mm thickness, thimble/thimble with turnbuckle hook/eye.

Our saltwater resistant stainless steel ropes VA4 AISI 316 comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a thimble similar to DIN 6899 Form B and crimping clamps made of copper. In addition, the wire rope is pressed with a stainless steel turnbuckle DIN 1480 with hook and eye.

Tested quality: Our stainless steel tension ropes are made of high quality VA stainless steel, with extensive corrosion protection. Thus, the stainless steel ropes can be used even under severe weather conditions. Due to the hook element of the turnbuckle and the associated low breaking forces, the tension ropes can only be used for light tensioning. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of the turnbuckles could be determined:

  • M5: 204kg
  • M6: 265kg
  • M8: 449kg
  • M10: 765kg
  • M12: 1,121kg

Attention. The working load of the stainless steel tensioning ropes is given with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Versatile uses: The tensioning ropes are manufactured according to their individual desired dimensions within 1-2 working days and can be used for tensioning between suitable anchor points. With the help of the turnbuckle, the wire rope can be tensioned and released very easily and quickly.

Various extension options: The stainless steel tension rope can of course be attached with suitable snap hooks, shackles or quick links or tensioned with another turnbuckle.

Hello, I wanted to ask if I have to remove the ömasse from the total length during the desired weight.Sincerely Sarah Neubert
The specified length (desired weight) refers to the complete useful length of load absorption point of the cheese to load absorption point of the hook.Among the technical details you will find a presentation for the length of the wire rope.
Hi all, I have a clear width (without hook and eye of 2.60 m for my trellis. I am unsure what length I need to order. I would appreciate an answer.
The specified length (desired dimension) refers to the complete useful length from the load-bearing point of the thimble to the load-bearing point of the hook. Please order the steel cables accordingly in the length of the clear width, minus the useful lengths of their fastening hooks/eyes.
Could I also use two tensioners for the rope?
The wire rope with two tensioners can be found under the following link: https://www.steelropes24.com/stainless-steel-wire-with-turnbuckles-din-1480-hook/eye
