Stainless steel shroud turnbuckle fork/fork M5 - M14

Our saltwater resistant shroud turnbuckles made of V4A AISI 316 stainless steel consist of an open clamping sleeve, as well as two forks with metric M5, M6, M8, M10, M12 or M14 thread.

When using the shroud tensioners, please make sure to lubricate the threads before tensioning, using a stainless steel assembly paste. The stainless steel assembly paste prevents seizing or cold welding of stainless steel threads. 

Tested quality: The polished and welded shroud turnbuckles in closed sleeve are made of high quality V4A stainless steel and can, due to the very high corrosion resistance, also be used in difficult weather conditions. Due to the closed fork, shroud turnbuckles can also demonstrate very high breaking forces. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of the shroud turnbuckles could be determined:

• M5: 1,254kg
• M6: 1,600kg
• M8: 2,385kg
• M10: 4.281kg
• M12: 6.625kg
• M14: 7.543kg

Attention. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the minimum breaking load, the payload of the shroud clamps is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Easy handling: with the help of right and left hand thread, shroud turnbuckle can be tensioned and released very easily and quickly.

Versatile use: Stainless steel shroud turnbuckle can be optimally used as a fastener to tension steel cables. Due to its seawater resistance and high minimum breaking strength, shroud turnbuckles are increasingly used in shipping, water sports, the food industry or even in mechanical engineering.
