Rope tension clamp for 2,5mm - 16mm steel ropes

Our galvanized rope tension clamps consist of a rope gripper with grooved steel jaws and are used for gripping, pulling and above all pre-tensioning wire and steel ropes without sheathing over longer distances.

Tested quality: With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. Due to the grooved steel jaws with a short tensioning range, the rope tension clamps can exhibit very high holding forces, but above a certain load limit, the steel rope is damaged to such an extent that it breaks.

In several test trials with different steel rope thicknesses, the following breaking forces were determined:

• 2.5mm: 336kg
• 3mm: 550kg
• 4mm: 663kg
• 5mm: 1.529kg
• 6mm: 1.529kg
• 8mm: 1.937kg

Attention. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the breaking load. Please add at least a 2-fold safety factor to the breaking force for your application. Please note that the rope tension clamp in combination with a steel rope ≥ 8mm cannot show a breaking load higher than 1.937kg.

Versatile applications: With the help of the long handle, steel ropes with a thickness of 2.5mm - 16mm can be clamped quickly and easily. By pushing the clamping jaws towards each other, an opening is formed into which the rope can be inserted.

Easy expansion options: Our rope tension clamps can of course be combined with all steel ropes (without sheathing) from the store of Drahtseile24. In combination with a lever hoist or pulley block, steel cables can be tensioned over a very long distance.
