Product information "Stainless Steel Wire with Rigging Screws Terminal and Thimble | with Stainless Steel Ferrule"

Stainless steel rope in 2-8mm thickness with thimble, stainless steel press clamp and shroud tensioner

Our saltwater resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped on one end with a thimble similar to DIN 6899 Form B to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. At the other end, the rope is pressed with a stainless steel shroud tensioner with fork to be able to tension the stainless steel rope.

When using the shroud tensioner, please make sure to lubricate the threads before tensioning, using a stainless steel assembly paste. The stainless steel assembly paste prevents seizing or cold welding of stainless steel threads.

Tested quality: We use only high-quality industrial steel for our wire ropes. With the help of several of our own calibrated universal tensile testing machines, we are able to guarantee complete quality assurance. A works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued for your application.

Versatile applications: Stainless steel terminal ropes can be used for suitable guy wires for sailboats, for facade greening or for stainless steel railings. Due to their corrosion resistance, stainless steel ropes are increasingly used outdoors.

I need a new season for my sailboat. The question is now, in the indication of the length, that is the total length with edge tensioner and then min. Or max.?
The indication of the length is the actual useful length at 80% open tensioner from inner edge of the fork to the load absorption point of the cheese. The underlying dimensions can also be found in the technical details.
If you unscrew the edge tensioner, which maximum diameter has the pressed terminal (at 4mm / 5mm wire)?
The maximum diameter of the edge tensioner without the fork is 13mm at the 4mm version and 17mm at the 5mm version.
How much can the length be influenced by the shroud tensioner?
Under the technical details you will find the dimensions of the shroud tensioners in the tensioned and untensioned state. This results in the following tensioning ranges: 2mm: 70mm | 3mm: 70mm | 4mm: 75mm | 5mm: 80mm | 6mm: 115mm | 8mm: 160mm
