Stainless steel rope in 2mm - 8mm thickness with screw terminal and fork terminal

Our salt water resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 1x19, 7x7 and 7x19, these are one or 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. Stainless steel ropes of 1x19 construction are considered "stiff" and less flexible due to the low number of individual wires. 7x7 and 7x19 constructions, on the other hand, offer high flexibility due to the high number of individual wires. The wire rope is pressed on one side with a fork terminal in order to be able to attach it to suitable anchorage points. At the other end, the rope is crimped with a stainless steel screw terminal with metric thread M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, M12 or M16.

Tested quality: We only use high-quality industrial steel with the premium quality V4A AISI 316 for our stainless steel wire ropes, making the stainless steel wire rope resistant to both salt water and acids. With the help of several of our own calibrated universal tensile testing machines, we are able to guarantee seamless quality assurance. The following minimum breaking forces of stainless steel cables with swaged terminals were determined in several test trials:

  • 2mm fork terminal with steel cable 7x7: 336kg
  • 3mm fork terminal with 7x19 steel cable: 764kg
  • 4mm fork terminal with 7x19 steel cable: 1,274kg
  • 5mm fork terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1,559kg
  • 6mm fork terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2,599kg
  • 8mm fork terminal with steel cable 7x19: 4.566kg
  • 2mm fork terminal with steel cable 1x19: 346kg
  • 3mm fork terminal with steel cable 1x19: 744kg
  • 4mm fork terminal with steel cable 1x19: 1,508kg
  • 5mm fork terminal with steel cable 1x19: 2,171kg
  • 6mm fork terminal with steel cable 1x19: 2,874kg

Attention! The breaking forces of the terminals are specified without a safety factor. Please base your application on at least a 5-fold safety factor (example 3mm / 7x19 / fork terminal: 764kg (breaking load) : 5 (safety factor) = 152kg (payload)). The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Versatile applications: Stainless steel terminal ropes can be used for suitable guy wires for sailboats, for facade greening or for stainless steel railings. Due to their corrosion resistance, stainless steel ropes are increasingly used outdoors.

Does the specified length (desired weight) refers to the steel cable or the length incl. The two terminals are specified at the ends?
The specified length (desired measure) refers to the complete use length of end thread to load receiving point of the fork.Among the technical details you will find a presentation for the length of the wire rope.
I would like to combine or use the thread terminal with a cable tensioner. Is there anything to note?
The metric thread of the terminal must have the same size, like that of the clamping lock.Furthermore, it must be a stainless steel clamping palace. For clamping locks with hooks & Ã-SE, the hook has a left thread, the terminals of the wire ropes are equipped as standard with a right-hand thread, but can be pressed with a left thread on request.
