Silver wire rope in 5 - 16mm thickness, thimble, eye hook grade 8 and high strength shackle

Our silver galvanized steel wire ropes comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 6x19 and 6x37, i.e. 6 strands with 19 or 37 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. In addition, the wire rope is equipped with an eye hook of grade 8 according to DIN EN 1677-1 with a safety latch and a curved, high-strength shackle with colored eyebolt.

High safety standard: The working load of the steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load and is swaged according to DIN-EN 12385-4. From a rope diameter of 8mm, there is a marking, according to the mentioned DIN, on the crimping clamp.

Tested load hooks: Our steel ropes are pressed with high-strength load hooks of grade 8. Due to the closed eye, the load hooks can demonstrate very high breaking forces. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the load hooks could be determined:

• 1.12t load hook: 4,475kg
• 2t load hook: 8.002kg
• 3t load hook: 12.600kg

Attention. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the minimum breaking load. It is absolutely necessary to consider the working load of the wire ropes during the application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Versatile uses: Wire ropes are used for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads in trades, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding, among others. Especially eye or load hooks optimally serve as load suspension of various objects, but can also be used as forestry rope. With the help of the shackle, the wire rope can be attached to the anchor point.
