What characterises low-torsion wire ropes?

A wire rope is rotation-free or low-torsion when no torque is applied to an unguided load. Our low-torsion wire ropes have 18 strands, each with 7 individual wires, with the outer strands forming the opposite lay direction to the inner strands. This design exerts only a very small torque on the suspended load, which can prevent the load from twisting.

Where are three-strand wire ropes used?

Three-hair wire ropes can be used wherever no torsional force is to be exerted on the load to be lifted. Accordingly, the steel rope serves optimally as a crane rope for lifting and suspending approximate loads, especially at high lifting heights, and is used both indoors and outdoors.
