Silver suspension rope with hook in 1mm - 3mm thickness and wire rope holder with hook

Our silver galvanized, height-adjustable steel ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are classified as 7x7 and 7x19 ropes, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The wire rope is crimped on one end with a galvanized hook terminal with a spring safety device to quickly attach the wire rope to the load lifting point without the need for any other connecting link. At the other end, the wire rope is annealed to make insertion into the wire rope holder quick and easy. The scope of delivery also includes a wire rope holder with hook and snap hook safety device. With the help of the wire rope holder, the suspension rope can be continuously adjusted in length and fixed at the desired height. Suspension ropes, in conjunction with wire rope holders, are used to suspend suitable loads, adjust their height and do not require any additional tools.

High safety standard: The payload of the suspension rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking force and is crimped according to DIN-EN 12385-4.With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the hook terminals and wire rope holders with hooks could be determined:

• Wire rope holder with hook 1mm: 62kg
• wire rope holder with hook 1,5mm: 86kg
• Wire rope holder with hook 2mm: 127kg
• Wire rope holder with hook 3mm: 234kg

• hook terminal 1,5mm: 91kg
• Hook terminal 2mm: 132kg
• hook terminal 3mm: 356kg

Attention. The breaking forces of the wire rope holders are given without safety factor. Please apply at least a 5-fold safety factor for your application (example 1.5mm: 86kg (breaking load) : 5 (safety factor) = 17kg (working load)). Easy handling: With the help of the lock nut of the wire rope holder, the steel rope can be easily and quickly adjusted in height. By tightening the lock nut, the wire rope holder is fixed on the rope and slipping is prevented. Inside the wire rope holder are three balls, which are held in the cone by a spring. Once the desired height of the wire rope holder is reached, the balls clamp the suspension rope. The wire rope is not damaged during this process. Please note that the hook is swaged directly to the wire rope and cannot be removed.

Versatile applications: Suspension ropes with wire rope holders are to be used only for the application of the determined working loads. When using them, please make absolutely sure that the locking nut is hand-tight, otherwise the wire rope may slip. Our suspension sets can be optimally used for applications where the length has to be adjusted on site. Possible applications for this are for example suspended pictures, lamps or other objects.
