Silver wire rope in 5-16mm thickness, thimble and eye hook grade 8

Our silver galvanized steel wire ropes comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 6x19 and 6x37, which are 6 strands with 19 or 37 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. In addition, the wire rope is swaged with an eye hook with safety latch and large eye of grade 8.

High safety standard: The working load of the steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load and is grouted according to DIN-EN 12385-4. From a rope diameter of 8mm, there is a marking, according to the mentioned DIN, on the crimping clamp.

Tested load hooks: Our steel ropes are pressed with a high-strength load hook of grade 8. Due to the closed eye, the load hooks can demonstrate very high breaking forces. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the load hooks could be determined:

• 1.12t load hook: 4,475kg
• 2t load hook: 8.002kg
• 3,15t load hook: 12.600kg

Attention. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the minimum breaking load. It is absolutely necessary to consider the working load of the wire ropes during the application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.
