Silver wire rope in 5-16mm thickness, thimble and two eye hooks grade 8

Our silver galvanized steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 6x19 and 6x37, which are 6 strands with 19 or 37 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble and an eye hook with safety latch and large eye of grade 8, in order to be able to fasten the wire rope on both sides to suitable slinging eyes.

High safety standard: The working load of the wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load and is swaged according to DIN-EN 12385-4. From a rope diameter of 8mm a marking, according to the mentioned DIN, takes place on the crimping clamp.

Tested load hooks: Our sling ropes are pressed with high-strength load hooks of grade 8. Due to the closed eye, the load hooks can demonstrate very high breaking forces. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the load hooks could be determined:

• 1.12t load hook: 4,475kg
• 2t load hook: 8.002kg
• 3,15t load hook: 12.600kg

Attention. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the minimum breaking load. It is absolutely necessary to consider the working load of the wire ropes during the application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Versatile uses: The sling ropes are used as pulling ropes for pulling and lifting suitable loads, among others, in forestry or private areas. The sling rope with hook is used for felling trees or similar forestry work

Various extension options: The steel cable with two hooks can of course be combined with suitable shackles or ring nuts and bolts from the store of Drahtseile24.
