Shroud turnbuckle DIN 1478 fork / fork M8 - M16

Our galvanized steel shroud turnbuckles consist of a closed clamping sleeve, two forks with lock nuts and metric counter-rotating M8, M10, M12 or M16 threads.

Tested quality: Due to the closed fork, shroud turnbuckles can exhibit very high breaking forces; using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of shroud turnbuckles could be determined:

• M8: 1.876kg
• M10: 3.160kg
• M12: 5.199kg
• M16: 12.130kg

Attention. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the minimum breaking load, the payload of the shroud clamps is specified with a 4-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Easy handling: With the help of the right-hand and left-hand thread, shroud turnbuckles can be tensioned and released very easily and quickly. Due to the DIN 934 lock nuts, the tensioner cannot untwist itself.

Areas of application: Our shroud turnbuckles quick tensioners can be optimally used as a connecting element to tension steel cables. When using tensioners and wire ropes, we recommend the following combination:

• M8: 3mm - 5mm wire ropes
• M10: 6mm wire ropes
• M12: 8mm wire ropes
• M16: 10mm - 14mm wire ropes
