Stainless steel threaded terminal for self-assembly for 4mm - 8mm ropes

Our saltwater resistant screw terminals made of V4A AISI 316 stainless steel consist of an open screw sleeve with internal thread, a cone in which the rope end is clamped. In addition, the terminal is equipped with a M6, M8 or M10 threaded bolt with lock nut, which is fixed in the screw sleeve. Rope terminals with a cone screw system are suitable for self-assembly on site and, compared to wire rope terminals with grub screws, have a significantly higher breaking load.

Proven quality: the stainless steel threaded screw terminals can be used for 4mm, 5mm, 6mm & 8mm thick steel ropes. Due to the processing of high-quality and rustproof V4A stainless steel, the screw terminals can also be exposed to difficult weather conditions. Due to the used screw system with cone and screw sleeve, the rope terminals achieve high breaking forces. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of the terminals could be determined:

• 4mm with steel rope 7x19: 1.172kg
• 5mm with steel rope 7x19: 1,733kg
• 6mm with steel cable 7x19: 2.467kg
• 8mm with steel cable 7x19: 3.924kg
• 4mm with steel cable 1x19: 1.386kg
• 5mm with steel cable 1x19: 1.889kg
• 6mm with steel cable 1x19: 3.058kg

Attention. The breaking forces of the terminals are given without safety factors. Please add at least a 5-fold safety factor for your application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Easy handling: The wire rope is first pushed through the screw sleeves and fastened in the cone. With the help of two suitable wrenches, the thread can then be screwed into the screw sleeve. Crimping, as is the case with roller terminals, is not necessary. Thanks to the threaded pin and the lock nut, the terminal can be fastened to suitable anchor points and tensioned with the help of the nut. For example, on a post or railing on a sailboat For fastening, no other fastening materials such as shackles or eyebolts are required.

Advantages to the rolled terminal: Stainless steel screw terminals for self-assembly can be optimally used as a connecting element to tension stainless steel cables and fasten them to suitable fastening points. Due to the possibility of self-assembly, the exact length of the steel cable does not have to be defined in advance, but can be individually adapted to the conditions on site.
